Jon's first new CD in nearly three years is here! THE GANG is in pre-release, and available exclusively on Jon's website, at his shows, and at the Historic Plains Hotel in Cheyenne, WY through the month of December before it goes into general release. For the last three decades, Jon has been part and parcel of the Hole in the Wall Gang, a Western Heritage group that annually rides Wyoming's famed Outlaw Trail. The Gang's members gather each September at the foot of Wyoming's Great Red Wall and spend the next few days having the time of their lives. Over the years, Jon has written a variety of songs about the annual Ride, including his signature tune, Through the Gap. Now, he's gathered those songs, written several new tunes, and rerecorded the entire collection with the help of string wizard Ernie Martinez and musician/engineer Jeff Graves. Chandler's celebrated songwriting and singing have never been so heartfelt. These songs bring the listener to the Hole in the Wall, allow access to the campfire and the trail, and serve to define the Spirit of the West. From his emotional nod to Dull Knife's Cheyenne (Morning Star Moon) to his raucous recounting of his pard's horse wreck (Bug Guts on the Windshield), the GANG is a spectacular recounting of what it means to be western.
